Founded in 1984 and now owned by James Scorgie and Paul Zakamarko, we’ve grown from a small local business into a trusted HVAC provider—offering heating, cooling, air quality, and hot water solutions.

james scorgie

James Scorgie is a dedicated leader with over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry—9 of those proudly spent with Burford Heating & Cooling. His strong work ethic, hands-on experience in sheet metal, and expertise in quoting commercial jobs make him an essential part of the team.

A true family man at heart, James is driven by both his love for his work and his commitment to providing for his family. When he’s not in the field or managing projects, you’ll find him immersed in all things sports—whether watching, playing, or talking about the game.

paul zakamarko

Paul Zakamarko has been in the HVAC industry for over 20 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to every residential project. Known for his reliability and professionalism, Paul is committed to helping customers feel confident and comfortable in their homes year-round.

Outside of work, Paul is a proud husband and father of three. He enjoys giving back to the community by coaching hockey and can usually be found at the rink or cheering on his favourite teams—his passion for sports runs deep.

Adriana Carrita

Adriana Carrita is the friendly voice behind the phone as our Administrative Assistant, bringing over 20 years of customer service experience across three industries. With a passion for helping others and keeping things running smoothly, she’s often the first point of contact for our clients. Outside of work, Adriana enjoys exploring new areas through walking and hiking, and spends her spare time cheering on her three children at swim meets, cheer competitions, and soccer games.
